Biography
Yerlan Omarov was born on August 22, 1984, in the village of Olendi, Nauryzum District, Kostanay Region, Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From an early age, Yerlan showed great interest in the traditional Kazakh wrestling style, kazak kuresi, which later became his life's passion. After graduating from secondary school in Kostanay Region, he enrolled in the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, where he continued his athletic training under the guidance of experienced coaches. Through hard work, persistence, and determination, Omarov soon became one of the strongest wrestlers in the region.
Representing Kostanay Region, he has repeatedly participated in national and international competitions in kazak kuresi and sambo, consistently earning places on the podium.
