A Festive Atmosphere at KRU

Baitursynuly University is our shared world, where bold ideas take shape, discoveries are made and future professionals begin to shine. Our educators and veteran scholars remain its heart and driving force.

Today, Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University hosted a major celebration bringing together several important occasions and commemorative dates:

The celebrations began with a warm and moving gathering of veteran educators.

KRU’s Trade Union and Youth Policy Department organised a special buffet reception and a small concert for our much-loved teachers.

Opening the event, KRU Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev addressed the guests:

“I sincerely wish you good health and well-being! Each of you has former students who now teach at our university, contribute to our country’s development and become respected scientists and professors.

Our university is thriving today, and you deserve an enormous share of the credit!”

The gathering became a celebration of shared memories.

Veteran teachers sang favourite folk songs together, exchanged stories, caught up with colleagues and posed for commemorative photographs.

A Name That Lives On

Some names live on through the achievements of their students and within educational institutions where an enduring thirst for knowledge passes from one generation to the next.

At Baitursynuly University’s Pedagogical Institute, staff and students honoured the memory of Academician and Professor Umirzak Sultangazin, who would have turned 90 this year.

A ceremonial laying of flowers paid tribute to his remarkable legacy.

“He devoted himself to science and generously shared his knowledge with his students. It is a tremendous honour for our Pedagogical Institute to bear his name,” Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev emphasised.

The academician’s greatest legacy is the hundreds of students and specialists who carry on his scholarly tradition. As long as people teach, learn, research and make discoveries at @sultangazin.institute, his legacy lives on.

THE ENERGY OF YOUTH!

The highlight of the day was a spectacular concert celebrating Higher Education Workers’ Day and Teachers’ Day.

Heartfelt words of gratitude rang out from the stage, recognising educators’ immense efforts, patience and unwavering dedication to their profession.

A particularly memorable moment was the presentation of well-deserved awards to KRU’s academic and professional staff.

In recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions to science, recipients were presented with letters of appreciation and certificates of honour from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; diplomas for “Excellence in Higher and Postgraduate Education”; honorary diplomas for “Excellence in Science”; “Til Zhanashyry” (“Champion of the Language”) certificates; and letters of appreciation from KRU’s Chairman of the Management Board and Rector.

“Thank you for your hard work, knowledge and contribution to educating the next generation,” Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev told his colleagues. “I wish you good health, happiness with your families, success, new achievements and appreciative students. May your work always bring you joy and recognition!”

Then it was time for the performers to shine! The Department of Arts at KRU’s Pedagogical Institute had prepared a spectacular concert.

Judging by the audience’s response, a particular favourite was the performance of “Интеллигентно қу”, specially adapted to capture the spirit of Baitursynuly University!

“Things are going well for us. What’s up?
We’re here!
We stand shoulder to shoulder all the way.
We’re working!
We’re on trend without TikTok, and always keeping fit.
May we be spared the evil eye!”

We often write that our students are the heart of Baitursynuly University. To keep that heart beating steadily, tirelessly and inspiring new stars, it needs the guidance of a mentor.

Happy Teachers’ Day, dear educators! THANK YOU for everything you do!
