Scientific Greetings from Italy!

Researchers from Baitursynuly University have completed a scientific internship at the University of Camerino (Italy).

The internship was conducted within the framework of ongoing research projects by representatives of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences: Raushan Ryshchanova, Professor of the Department of Veterinary Medicine; Aigul Zhabykpayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, PhD; and Pavel Shevchenko, Research Fellow at the Research Institute of Innovative Technologies, PhD.

During the internship, the researchers familiarized themselves with the scientific and educational infrastructure of the School of Biosciences and Veterinary Medicine. They visited modern laboratories specializing in pharmacology, virology, molecular biology, and genetic engineering, as well as university veterinary clinics equipped with advanced diagnostic technologies.

Particular attention was devoted to contemporary methods of molecular genetic diagnostics, the detection of antibiotic resistance genes, and monitoring their spread among microorganisms—one of the most pressing challenges in modern veterinary medicine, food safety, and public health.

During meetings with the leadership of the University of Camerino, representatives of Baitursynuly University discussed prospects for expanding student academic mobility, implementing joint research projects, preparing publications in high-impact international journals, and participating in grant programs and international scientific consortia.

As a result of the visit, agreements were reached to strengthen cooperation between the Italian and Kostanay universities in the fields of scientific research, academic mobility, and doctoral training in veterinary medicine and biotechnology.
