Top Students in Special Education Announced

The XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad for students of the educational program 6B019 – Special Education brought together participants from thirteen universities at Baitursynuly University.

The program consisted of two stages.

During the first stage, participants presented project works on the topic “Teacher of the Future: Inclusion, Innovation, Inspiration.”

The second stage—a test—assessed students’ theoretical knowledge in the disciplines “Special Education” and “Inclusive Education.”

Based on the results of both stages, the winners were determined as follows:

1st place: Students of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University — Semyon Labodryga, Gleb Nos.

2nd place (shared):

• Students of A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University — Alina Khasanova, Margarita Snesar;
• Students of I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University — Zhanar Duisenbek, Ayazhan Myrzakhmetova;
• Students of A. Margulan Pavlodar Pedagogical University — Kamila Akhmetova, Akbota Token.

3rd place:

• Students of the Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University — Ardak Seitkassym, Shakhnaz Sadybekkyzy;
• Students of Sh. Yessenov Caspian University of Technology and Engineering — Ardak Baidulla, Karasai Turgunbay;
• Students of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University — Elnaz Kadyrbekova, Aiaulym Kadyrkhanova.

The Olympiad was memorable not only for its competitive program but also for its atmosphere of unity. A particularly engaging activity was the collective art initiative “Palm of Unity,” where participants left colorful handprints on a wall, forming a symbolic “Tree of Unity.”

Another important part of the event was the discussion platform “Modern Special Education: Challenges and Prospects.”

Here, academic supervisors discussed current trends in inclusive education, shared experiences, and identified key directions for future development in the field.
