Employees of A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University can now complete their mandatory professional development in inclusive education fully online—from course enrolment to receiving their certificate.
The Moodle platform hosts the 72-academic-hour Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Inclusive Educational Environment in Higher Education. Available in three languages, the course is integrated with the University’s digital service, which automates the key stages of learning.
To take part, employees simply log in to the staff portal, enrol in the course, study the materials, and complete the final assessment. If they achieve a score of at least 70%, the system automatically generates an official certificate with a registration number.
The course lasts two weeks. Upon successful completion of the final assessment, the certificate is automatically emailed to the employee two weeks after enrolment. A copy is also sent to the Office of Competencies and Career Development and the Human Resources Department to record completion of the professional development programme.
The system independently tracks the training timeline. If an employee has not completed the final assessment one week before the end of the course period, an automatic email reminder is sent.
The service was technically developed by KRU’s Department of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Together with the University’s relevant divisions, the department has established a unified digital process—from course enrolment to the automated issuance and registration of certificates.
This approach reduces manual work, standardises document processing, ensures transparent record-keeping, and makes mandatory professional development more convenient for employees.
A second mandatory course for employees, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence, is planned to launch soon under the same model. Following successful completion of the course and final assessment, certificates will likewise be generated and sent automatically.
The digitalisation of professional development is another step by KRU towards creating a modern educational environment and integrating digital tools into the University’s internal processes.
