Within the framework of the interstate campaign “Week of Health and Human Rights in the CIS”, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals “Good Health and Well-Being” and “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions”, an open lecture titled “Modern Trends in the Development of Functional Confectionery Products” was conducted.
The lecture was delivered by Dmitry Kalitka, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Food Security and Biotechnology at KRU.
He addressed issues related to the current state of the confectionery industry, product composition and natural ingredients, as well as the potential for producing confectionery products tailored to specific consumer groups (athletes, children, and individuals with dietary restrictions).
Particular attention was paid to the challenges of marketing and consumer demand.
The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of modern trends in the confectionery industry, innovative approaches to improving product quality and functionality, and broadened participants’ professional outlook and understanding of current national and global trends in the confectionery sector.
