KRU Joins the Oyla Project

The Centre for Inclusive Education and Psychological Support, the Department of Psychology and the Department of Journalism and Communication Management at Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University have joined a project run by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE) involving the use of Oyla, a digital information and guidance resource.

The project is designed for young people, helping them make sense of everyday challenges such as academic stress, conflicts with loved ones, self-doubt, health concerns and interpersonal relationships.

The digital resource offers students accessible initial support and helps them explore possible next steps, while remaining distinct from professional psychological support.

A team of student ambassadors studying psychology and journalism is working at KRU under the guidance of Saule Aitkuzhinova, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology.

The ambassadors introduce the student community to Oyla’s features and limitations, explaining its role as a tool for initial support.

The team also provides information to help adapt Oyla’s content to students’ actual needs.

Participation in the UNESCO IITE project enables the university to join an international initiative supporting young people through digital resources and strengthening students’ psychological well-being.

Участие в проекте ИИТО ЮНЕСКО открывает для университета возможность интеграции в международную инициативу по цифровой поддержке молодёжи и укреплению психологического благополучия студентов.
