Every year, students and faculty of Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, which proudly bears the name of this outstanding public figure, pay tribute to his memory by laying flowers at his monument. This year, the university community once again continued this meaningful tradition.
September 5 is also celebrated in Kazakhstan as the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. It is no coincidence that this day coincides with the birthday of Akhmet Baitursynuly. His entire life was closely connected with his native language, its development and preservation. He laid the foundations of Kazakh linguistics, reformed the national writing system, and devoted his life to educating and enlightening his people.
For the university that bears the name of Akhmet Baitursynuly, this day holds special significance. It is an opportunity to reflect once again on his life and achievements, honor the memory of the great educator, and introduce a new generation to his invaluable intellectual and cultural legacy.
