College graduates

Applicants holding technical and vocational or post-secondary education qualifications who apply to related higher education programs with shortened study durations are admitted to the University in accordance with the Methodological Guidelines on the Correspondence between Groups of Higher Education Educational Programs and Specialties of Technical and Vocational and Post-Secondary Education. On determination of methodological recommendations of conformity of related groups of educational programs of higher education and specialties of technical and vocational, post-secondary education  

List of Required Documents for Admission

Educational qualification document (diploma/certificate) with transcript (original, copy, and electronic PDF format);

  • Two copies of an identity document (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Six photographs sized 3 × 4 cm;
  • Medical certificate in Form 075/u (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Copy of the preventive vaccination record card in Form 065/u (063/u), if available (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Two copies of the Unified National Testing (UNT) certificate, if available (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Extract from the statement of results of a creative or special examination taken at another higher education institution, if applicable (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Certificate confirming the award of an educational grant, if available (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • In case of a change of surname, name, or patronymic, a copy of the marriage certificate or another document confirming the change, if available (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • Documents confirming eligibility for preferential admission rights, quotas, or benefits, if applicable (hard copy and electronic PDF format);
  • For male applicants: a copy of the military ID, if available (hard copy and electronic PDF format).

Applicants who hold technical and vocational or post-secondary education qualifications, have confirmed their professional qualification, and possess at least one year of work experience in their specialty must additionally submit one of the documents provided for in Article 35 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

To be eligible for participation in the educational grant competition, applicants must score no fewer than 5 points in each UNT subject and/or creative examination.

Admission on a Tuition-Fee Basis

Admission to the University on a tuition-fee basis for applicants holding technical and vocational or post-secondary education qualifications with the qualification of “mid-level specialist” or “applied bachelor”, in related fields of higher education that provide for shortened study duration, is carried out on the basis of an entrance examination.

Admission to Educational Programs Requiring Creative Aptitude

Admission to the University's educational program groups that require creative aptitude is based on the results of creative examinations.

Application period for participation in creative examinations:

  • June 20 – July 6 for applicants participating in the competition for educational grants;
  • June 20 – August 10 for applicants applying on a tuition-fee basis.

Creative examination period:

  • July 7 – July 20 for applicants participating in the competition for educational grants;
  • July 7 – August 15 for applicants applying on a tuition-fee basis.

Creative examinations are assessed on a 20-point scale.

Special Examination for Pedagogical Sciences Programs

Applicants applying to educational programs within the Field of Education “Pedagogical Sciences” are required to take one special examination.

The submission of documents and the administration of the special examination are conducted from June 20 to August 20 of the calendar year.

The special examination is conducted in the form of solving a pedagogical case study and is assessed on a “Pass” / “Fail” basis.

For applicants enrolling in shortened educational programs on the basis of technical and vocational, post-secondary, or higher education, learning outcomes from the previous level of education are recognized automatically.

The results of transferable disciplines included in the curriculum are credited according to the average grade stated in the supplement (transcript) to the educational qualification document.

The average grade from the transcript is calculated and assigned as the final grade for each recognized discipline.

Enrollment as a student is conducted from June 20 to August 25 based on the formation of academic groups.

Graduates of technical and vocational or post-secondary education institutions who choose an educational program group that is not related to their previous field of study are required to take the Unified National Testing (UNT) under the general admission rules.
