This week at Baitursynuly University was truly… bright!
Creative students and university faculty/staff took the stage to shine at the annual vocal show “Eki Zhuldiz.”
This year, the competition was dedicated to International Students’ Day.
“Eki Zhuldiz” is when a student and a KRU faculty/staff member team up as one duo.
Five pairs prepared in advance — choosing songs, rehearsing, getting nervous. And in the end, they delivered amazing performances for the audience.
Each duo had its own style, character, and story. And each duo won in its own nomination.
#1 Aiyum Tazhina, Head of the KRU Museum, and Narkyz Erkinkyzy, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Pedagogical Institute — “Talented Duo.”
#2 Damir Mnaydarov, Lecturer at the Department of Information Systems of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and IT, and Erkhan Baygezhin, a 3rd-year student of the same department — “Harmonious Duo.”
#3 Aigul Nursultanova, Lecturer at the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, and Anton Barzilov, a 2nd-year student of the same department — “Emotional Duo.”
#4 Bulat Balabayev, Lecturer at the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and Almagul Zhiembayeva, a 2nd-year student of the Department of Agronomy — “Artistic Duo.”
#5 Gulmira Dambaulova, Professor of the Department of Accounting and Management of the Faculty of Economics and Law, and Bogdan Sarbasov, a 4th-year student of the Department of Economics and Finance — “Bright Duo.”
The main trophy went to the star pair — Damir Mnaydarov and Erkhan Baygezhin. Their performance received the loudest applause!
