Dinara Kudzulova, a student of the Economics educational program at KRU, returned with a gold medal from the World Para Judo Championships.
The competition took place from May 13 to 15 in Astana. Dinara, as part of the Kazakhstan women's team, won a gold medal in the team competition!
Despite having to compete outside her weight category (up to 70 kg) against opponents weighing over 100 kg, Dinara showed true fighting spirit and skill.
In the quarterfinals, she impressively defeated an athlete from Uzbekistan with a throw that earned her an "ippon" — the highest score in judo.
In the match for third place, Dinara lost to Turuna Lkhajav from Mongolia and finished the championship in an honorable fifth place in the individual standings.
We are proud of our student's achievements! We wish her new victories in sports, studies, and life!
