The faculty building was transformed into a large symbolic circle of unity. Across the space, themed areas were set up, each representing a different nation—resembling traditional villages united by shared roots, traditions, and the spirit of Nauryz.
Each department showcased a distinct culture: the Department of Electric Power Engineering represented Azerbaijanis; Mechanical Engineering highlighted Turkish culture; Software Engineering presented Uyghur traditions; Mathematics and Physics introduced Uzbek culture; Information Systems featured Bashkir heritage; and the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Transport represented the hospitable Kazakh people.
From the very first steps, visitors were drawn in by the aromas of national cuisine. Music invited them into the circle, while dancing made it impossible to remain on the sidelines. With just a few steps, one could find themselves immersed in a completely different culture.
The Kazakh area embodied a true festive atmosphere: a traditional yurt was erected, a generous dastarkhan was laid, and national games were held. KRU Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbaev gladly took part in the traditional game of asyk atu, while students and faculty gathered around the table, enjoying traditional dishes.
Nearby, the Uzbek community energized the crowd with vibrant dance rhythms.
At the Azerbaijani area, guests were treated to such hospitality that it was impossible to pass by.
The Turkish section captivated visitors with the dynamism of its movements.
Bashkir culture resonated through melodic songs.
Meanwhile, the graceful Uyghur “Swan Dance” enchanted the audience and became a true highlight of the celebration.
Students, faculty members, and university leadership were all immersed in the festive atmosphere. Rector Seitbek Bekenovich emphasized that today the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Information Technology is not only a forge of technical professionals, but also a true leader within the university—one that creates, preserves traditions, and develops at a rapid pace.
