From April 13 to 17, the World Summer Biathlon Championship took place in the city of Mogilev, Belarus, where Arseniy Kalinin, a third-year student at the Department of Theory and Practice of Physical Culture and Sports at KRU, took first place in the 21-23-year-old age group.
The competition was organized in four disciplines: air rifle shooting, sprint, swimming, and endurance running. 150 athletes from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia participated in the championship. The championship was organized by the International Biathlon Association and the Belarusian-Russian University.
In Turkestan, the Republic of Kazakhstan Championship in draughts among athletes with hearing impairments ended, with 55 athletes from 9 regions of the country participating. The championship was held among adults and youth in the disciplines of classical and blitz draughts.
First-year student of the “Physical Culture and Sports” program, Balzhan Zhumagazyeva, took two second places in the individual championship among adults in the “blitz” and “classical” categories.
