The Department of Philology and Practical Linguistics at Baitursynuly University held an enlightening event titled "Independent Country – Kazakhstan."
The aim of the event was to better understand the significance of independence and to instill respect and love for the homeland in the youth.
The guests of the event were witnesses of the December events of 1986 – Sholpan Elegenkyzy Abiltayeva and Bibigul Beksultanqyzy Bekmukhanbetova, who shared their memories with the younger generation.
Students and master's students from the educational programs "Philology and Practical Linguistics" and "Journalism and Communication Management" read poems on the theme of independence.
Ruslan Zhusupov, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities for Educational Affairs, Almasbek Absaidyk, Head of the Department of Philology and Practical Linguistics, and Alma Dosova, Associate Professor, shared their reflections on the value of independence and its significance for the republic and every citizen.
