This fascinating and creative event was the result of a collaboration between the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of Baitursynuly University and the regional archive.
There are two occasions at once — the 145th anniversary of Kostanay and the 85th anniversary of KRU.
This is not the first time the archive has opened its doors to students, offering a glimpse behind the scenes of its unique work. Participants of the event embarked on a true journey into the past. They had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of history, explore an exhibition of books and archival materials, and take part in the "Ancient World" quiz and the "Mystery of the Past in Archival Documents" quest. There were also fantastic musical performances at interactive stations.
Serikzhan Ismailov, Acting Head of the Department and Candidate of Historical Sciences, highlighted the strategic importance of the nearly 20-year partnership between the university and the archive:
- Our department has opened a hall in the Gylym archive, where our undergraduates and doctoral students can work with archival documents in a simplified form. We can also hold various events, conferences, and round tables here. This is a very useful experience for students, thank you for this opportunity!
