Night of History

"The Night of History" is already a traditional celebration organized by the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines for students and schoolchildren in the city of Kostanay. This year, among the guests were teachers and students from general schools No. 5 named after Baurzhan Momyshuly, No. 9 named after Gafu Kairbekov, No. 19, and the gymnasium school named after S. Maulenov.

The festival was welcomed by the dean of the Faculty of Social-Humanitarian Sciences, Alibek Tabuldenov, who presented the faculty and its specialties. More detailed information about the educational programs of the Department of "History," "Archival Studies, Document Studies, and Museum Studies" was provided by the head of the department, Serikzhan Ismailov, who talked about the advantages of studying in these educational programs, internships, cooperation between the department and state and other organizations, opportunities for studying abroad within the academic mobility program, and more.

The "Night of History" festival took place in an interesting game format: participants were given route sheets to navigate and visit stations. There were 6 thematic stations. At the first station, "Cinema Time," participants had the opportunity not only to immerse themselves in the world of historical cinema but also to guess the movie title and continue the advertising from the 1990s. At the karaoke station, everyone could try themselves as singers for songs on various topics and guess the song titles. Participants could try their hand at mastering ancient crafts and enter the world of primitive people and tribes at the "Antiquity" station. An interactive game on the history and culture of Kazakhstan took place at the "Kazakh Khanate" station, allowing participants to see the heroes of that time in person. In the virtual world of the "Middle Ages" station, participants could imagine themselves as heroes of medieval battles, crusades, and relations between the East and the West. The participants had interesting contests, sweet prizes, notebooks, pens, and other prizes waiting for them at all stations. Students and pupils participated eagerly, sharing and enriching their knowledge of history.

Guests expressed their gratitude to the students and teachers of the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines for conducting such interactive events and expressed their desire to visit again.

The dean's office extends its immense gratitude to the event organizers: the teaching staff and students of the Department of Social-Humanitarian Disciplines for creating such an interesting and informative celebration, the NIGHT OF HISTORY!
