An eco-challenge titled "I See – I Suggest" was held at Baitursynuly University in honor of Earth Day.
The event was organized by the KRU Green Center and the Department of Ecology for the Kostanay Region.
The goal of the eco-challenge was to promote ecological thinking and develop research skills that will help every student make a real contribution to environmental protection, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable development.
Participants discussed possible solutions to issues such as solid waste management, yard greening, and supporting the local products market.
Following the challenge, the Department of Ecology of the Kostanay Region awarded certificates of recognition to the following students: Elizaveta Shipova, David Chernovolsky, Olga Shchegoleva, and Nikolai Kotko (1st-year students of the "Ecology" program, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences); Sayat Ibragimov, Symbat Beybitova, Rakhad Zaip, and Aruzhan Kamshybek (1st-year students of the "Biology" program, U. Sultangazin Pedagogical Institute).
The moderators of the challenge were senior lecturer of the Department of Biology, Ecology and Chemistry Gulzhan Kazkenova and assistant professor Gulnara Yunusova.
