n 2025, Kazakhstan marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of the poet, writer, and political figure Myrzhakyp Dulatov.
To commemorate this occasion, Ahmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University (KRU) hosted a creative meeting between students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and stage director Evgeniya Tikidzhi-Khamburyan, the author of the play “My Father Is Myrzhakyp Dulatov.”
In November, students had the opportunity to witness this grand theatrical production.
Future journalists and philologists noted that the performance belongs to the documentary-dramatic genre and is based on biographical materials. Professor Dmitry Legkiy, Doctor of Historical Sciences, also shared his impressions of the play. In his opinion, Evgeniya Tikidzhi-Khamburyan succeeded in portraying the dramatic historical era not only as a stage director, but also as a historian, strictly relying on documentary sources.
The director is already well known to university students through her other productions. As the Chief Director of the Kostanay Regional Russian Drama Theatre, Evgeniya Tikidzhi-Khamburyan expressed her readiness to continue fruitful cooperation with the faculty and students of our university.
