Today, the university has started the KozQaras Documentary Film Festival, which is organized for the third time by the Department of Journalism and Communication Management.
Over the course of three days, roundtable discussions and masterclasses by renowned guests will be held for students majoring in Journalism and Directing.
Among them is a special guest from Almaty, associate professor of the Department of Film History and Theory at KazNAI named after T. Zhurgenov, Nadezhda Berkova. Not only students but also high school students from School No. 19 in Kostanay took part in the festival opening. Interestingly, for the first time in three years, the event is being held in an offline format.
Today, the competitive student works will be screened. It is known that among the participants are students of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov. Tomorrow, a roundtable discussion will be held with the participation of the famous director, screenwriter, creative producer Denis Danilov, Kazakhstani director, PhD in Directing, professor of the Media and Cinema School at "AlmaU" University Azat Hakimov, and the head of the Department of Cinema and TV at KazNUI, chairman of the public association "QazDoc" Aydos Seitjan.
The results will be announced on February 22, and we will provide further information.
