ETHNO-FASHION Within the Walls of KRU

Today, Nauryz was celebrated at the Pedagogical Institute of KRU with a vibrant showcase of traditional national attire.

As is well known, Nauryz in Kazakhstan is celebrated over ten days—from March 14 to March 23. This festive period is called Nauryznama, and one of its most beautiful days falls on March 18—National Clothing Day.

To mark the occasion, the Pedagogical Institute hosted a true ethno-fashion show. The runway featured the richness of traditional costumes: elegant kamzols adorned with intricate embroidery, majestic chapan robes lending a sense of distinction, delicate saukele headdresses, decorated headwear, dresses with ethnic ornaments, as well as traditional belts, jewelry, and accessories.

“One of the most significant days of the Nauryznama decade is National Clothing Day,” noted Elmira Nauryzbayeva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at KRU. “On this day, we wear traditional garments, demonstrating not only their beauty but also our respect for a culture passed down from generation to generation. It is a unique opportunity to feel a connection with the history and spiritual heritage of our people.”

May the appreciation of national values strengthen unity, inspire new achievements, and fill hearts with pride for one’s culture. Thank you to everyone for your active participation, and may each of you reach new heights and achieve great success!
