The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Information Technologies at Baitursynuly University hosted a charity fair, with all proceeds going toward the medical treatment of three-year-old Temirlan Galiullin.
Temirlan is a true fighter. Despite his young age and a severe diagnosis of cerebral palsy (CP) in a severe form, he refuses to give up. After two and a half years of continuous rehabilitation, he has made remarkable progress—becoming stronger and gaining better control over his body. Doctors believe that treatment in a specialized clinic in China could help him learn to walk and possibly even speak. However, the cost of this treatment is extremely high—12 million tenge, of which 9.7 million has been raised so far.
Having learned about the trouble of little Temirlan, the students of KRU did not remain indifferent. They organized a charity fair where everyone could buy pastries and contribute to a good cause.
"Today, we gathered here to support little Temirlan, who urgently needs our help," Elmira Saktagan said, the leader of the faculty’s student activist group. "His story touched each of us deeply. Despite his young age, he demonstrates incredible resilience. As students, we want to do our part to help him recover. We are planning another fair in April."
The results of all the charity events will be summed up at the annual charity ball. Thank you to everyone who joined this initiative and offered their support!
All proceeds will go toward the treatment of three-year-old Temirlan Galiullin, a child who is supported by the "Life in the Palm" charity project (KN newspaper).
