A Quarter-Century of Talent at “ӨNER”

The workweek at Baitursynuly University concluded on a festive note. The Creative House “ӨNER” of KRU celebrated its 25th anniversary, turning the evening into a true celebration of art, talent, and gratitude.

It is hard to believe that the journey of the Creative House “ӨNER” began in 2001 with a small studio founded by Kazakhstan’s renowned akyn, Asiya Berkenova.

Over the years, this space has become a genuine school of beauty and creative freedom. It brings together people training to be journalists, engineers, agronomists… The professions are diverse, but they share one thing – a desire to experience art, explore their creativity, and develop new skills and talents.

The core mission of “ӨNER” remains unchanged: to teach people to see beauty and to create it themselves.

“Today marks a truly significant cultural day at our university,” said KRU Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbaev. “We celebrate the anniversary of the Creative House, which has played a huge role in nurturing talented students and helping them reveal their creative potential. ‘ӨNER’ is a cultural center that encourages young people to become more active, courageous, creatively free, and closer to art. May it always thrive, and may the path of young talents remain wide open!”

Following the congratulations, studio staff received letters of appreciation from the rector.

Over a quarter of a century, no fewer than a thousand bright young people have grown up within the walls of “ӨNER.” The anniversary concert featured performances exclusively by alumni!

Songs, dances, heartfelt memories, and warm words made the audience feel as though they were reliving the performers’ journey together.

Video greetings from graduates across different cities and countries were also shown on screen.

“ӨNER” is more than just a creative club. It is a large family that unites generations of talented KRU students. Congratulations, “ӨNER”! Wishing you many more successful years ahead!
