Charity Ball 2024

On the eve of Thanksgiving Day, the annual charity ball was held at Zhastar Sarai, marking its eighth consecutive year. The main mission of the ball is to help those in need, typically young children requiring medical treatment. Thanks to this kind tradition and the initiative of the student body, over the years, aid and support have been provided for the treatment of Aisha Kabybekova, Amina Mukasheva, Ayat Bekentayev, Dias Azamatuly, Arlan Tolendi, and our university student Ivan Shevchenko. This year's ball is dedicated to little Daryn Bisimbaev, who is only 4 years old but has spent much of his life fighting a serious illness.

In preparation for the ball, charity fairs "Give a Child a Smile!" were held in the academic buildings. The most anticipated event was the ball itself. Traditionally, three waltzes were performed: classical, modern, and this year's special feature, a tango. The waltzes were performed and choreographed by the university students themselves. The performers understood that it was not only about magical music, beautiful outfits, and refined manners but also their personal participation in such a kind and noble cause.

The program included performances by student faculties, the institute, the Student Parliament, and artists from the Kostanay Regional Philharmonic. Alumni from previous years, for whom the charity ball was one of the most memorable events of their student life, also attended.

The jury determined the winners of the waltz competition:

The organizers of the charity ball thank the university administration, directors and deputy deans for educational work, department heads, and staff for their understanding and support of our students. Special thanks to the Youth Resource Center of Kostanay Region, the regional philharmonic artists, and the sponsors who helped support the event. The Youth Policy Department also expresses gratitude to the student faculties and the institute for their amazing introductory performances and the Student Parliament for the final number.

During the charity event, 1,405,077 tenge was raised and transferred to Daryn's family for his treatment. We hope that through our combined efforts, we will help Daryn recover soon!
