Baitursynuly University students have joined the international action EuroBirdwatch24.
Our students marked the International Birdwatchers Day (the first Sunday in October) with a useful initiative. Members of the birdwatchers club of the KRU conducted a survey of migratory birds on the suburban lakes of Kostanay.
The club's leader and biology student Daniil Khristinetsky, together with the senior huntsman of the Altybai and Saga hunting farms Kanat Batyrhanuly, discovered 835 birds of sixteen species!
And the club's activists started the working week with a meeting with freshmen. The undergraduates shared information with future biology teachers about the work of the club and the Students for Nature project. In addition, the first ones were taught to determine the type of bird in flight, to remember their external features.
As a result of the meeting, newcomers joined our birdwatchers club. Good luck with your observations, guys!
