Astana IT University hosted the “Skillathon” seminar for women scientists as part of the project "Utilizing Nationally Determined Contributions to Achieve Net Zero Emissions and Climate Resilient Development in Response to the Climate Emergency," organized within the framework of the UNDP project with financial support from the Government of Japan. The seminar brought together 37 women engaged in scientific research at Kazakhstani universities. A. Baitursynov KRU was represented by Gulnara Yunusova, Head of the Biology, Ecology, and Chemistry Department, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Sevara Daribayeva, Lecturer at the Department of Natural Sciences, Master of Natural Sciences, and Saule Shvets, Lecturer at the Agronomy Department.

The dialogue platform, marathons, and master classes allowed participants to broaden their understanding of issues such as personal brand building, commercialization of scientific approaches, developing leadership potential among women scientists, and the UNDP-UNICEF global network of women professionals “STEM4All.” Seminar participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the university leadership for the opportunity to participate in such forums.
