Today, on April 1, the International Scientific and Practical Conference for students and undergraduates on the topic: "Akhmet Baitursynuly - a great personality and heritage of the nation", dedicated to his 150th anniversary, was held at the KRU. This conference opens a series of events dedicated to the Day of Science Workers, which is celebrated in Kazakhstan on April 12.
Akhmet Baitursynuly is a teacher of the nation, a Turkologist, an Alash activist, a reformer
national writing, Kazakh language and literature. The life and work of Akhmet Baitursynuly is the brightest example of service to his people, his Motherland. In November 2021, at the General Conference of UNESCO, it was decided to include the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynuly in the international calendar of memorable dates of this organization.
Also, in honor of the landmark event in the 2022-2023 academic year, at the expense of the local budget, the holders of the Altyn Belgi badge will be awarded grants named after Akhmet Baitursynuly in pedagogical and engineering specialties.
The conference was held online, and this format made it possible to bring together university students from different regions of our country. The geography of the participants is extensive and includes regions from Shymkent to Petropavlovsk, from Uralsk to Ust-Kamenogorsk. Traditionally, the high interest in the conference (more than 190 applications received) demonstrates the importance and relevance of this event.
Today's conference will contribute to the patriotic education of young people, the integration and consolidation of the social, cultural and educational potentials of the region and the country, the careful use of historical experience and achievements of the past, the development of new methods and technologies necessary for the development and implementation of the intellectual potential of modern Kazakhstani youth.
Many participants of this conference are only taking their first steps in science, learning to look for and find solutions to urgent problems. For many participants, this will be the first publication and the first speech. We hope that this experience will be successful and will contribute to new research and discoveries.
