Trainings at KRU within the Erasmus + projects "UnWaste" and "UXiship"

From 05/02/2023 to 05/06/2023, the second block of a series of seminars was organized and held at the Kostanay Regional University within the framework of two international Erasmus + projects: the UnWaste project and the UXiship project.

Teams of teachers and students from various universities of Kazakhstan came to our university: the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov (Aktau), and Almaty Management University, Almaty - the UXiship project, as well as the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin (Astana) , and Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov (Kokshetau) - UnWaste project. In total, the seminar was attended by more than 25 participants.

The trainers of the Kostanay Regional University were the trainers of the Kostanay Regional University: Head of the Department of Biology, Ecology and Chemistry Yunusova Gulnara Batyrbekovna, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Dryuk Oksana Vladimirovna, Head of the Department of Machines, Tractors and Automobiles Salykov Bulat Rakhimzhanovich, Lecturer of the Department of Accounting and Management Bayzhanova Liliya Abdul-Nasyrovna, Head Regional Smart Center Gulmira Karimzhanovna Dambaulova, Nursultan Bekbaev, Smart Center specialist, Elena Mikhailovna Kandalina and many others. In addition, specialists from enterprises were involved in the active participation in the transfer of knowledge: Malikova Laura Almasbekovna, head of the Association of Practicing Ecologists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and specialists from the NCE Atameken.

For several days in a row, the project teams visited the strategic innovative enterprises of the Kostanay region: the Allur Machine-Building Plant, the country's largest company for the extraction and enrichment of iron ore JSC SSGPO, and many other enterprises and firms. At each enterprise, enterprise owners, managers and managers provided comprehensive information on efficient waste management techniques, innovations in the digitalization of technological processes, modern methods of increasing energy saving and maintaining environmental safety.

At the end of the official part of the field trainings, the facilitator answered questions from the participants, held consultations on specific issues, and shared various recommendations.

On the final day, a Hackathon was held for the UXiship project, in which student teams from the UnWaste project expressed their desire to participate. Such academic inter-project synergy was very liked by all the participants of the competition, following which a lot of words of gratitude were heard.

The invited participants of the UnWaste project gained extensive experience in waste management issues based on the provided academic and scientific materials, as well as the experience of manufacturing enterprises in the Kostanay region.

The participants of the block of seminars on the UXiship project found answers to the main business questions: how to open an innovative startup project and develop it, how to win in the competition and how to increase profits.

The final part of the seminars on the UnWaste and UXiship projects was devoted to the discussion and development of recommendations for optimizing the implementation of the project implementation plan.

Following the results of the workshop, the audience expressed their gratitude and hope for further cooperation in order to exchange experience and update professional knowledge in the field of waste management, the implementation of the direction of development of start-up competencies.
