Topic: Architectural Heritage of Kostanay

Faculty members of Baitursynuly University are taking part in the International Winter School organized by M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University.

The Winter School has brought together professors, doctoral and master’s students, and scholars from universities in Kazakhstan and abroad under the common theme: “Preservation, Protection, and Management of World Historical and Cultural Heritage – Auezov University – 2026.”

The event serves as a platform for exchanging best practices, discussing current challenges, and seeking innovative solutions in the field of preservation, conservation, and effective management of world cultural and historical heritage sites.

Faculty members of the Social and Humanities Department of Baitursynuly University are participating in the program in an online format. They act as speakers and present their lectures to the audience.

This week, Senior Lecturer Akmaral Yeralina from the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines delivered a lecture entitled “Architectural Heritage of the City of Kostanay in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries.”

During the lecture, participants were introduced in detail to the architectural monuments of Kostanay from the early 20th century, learning about their construction history, stylistic features, and significance for the region’s cultural heritage.

The presentation highlighted key sites that shape the city’s historical image and emphasized their role in preserving historical memory and forming Kostanay’s unique architectural environment.
