A student of Baitursynuly University took part in the spring ornithological camp “Spring Mangystau Bird Camp,” part of the mega-project “Hyrasia One.”
This special opportunity was provided to Daniil Khristinenko, a biology student from the U. Sultangazin Pedagogical Institute at Baitursynuly University.
Together with birdwatchers and ornithologists from Bulgaria, Georgia, Germany, and Russia, he studied over 150 species of birds migrating along the Caspian coast and the Ustyurt region.
Monitoring methods included visual observation, call-based identification, tracking, feathers, nests, camera traps, and audio recorders.
The university student gained invaluable experience and now shares his knowledge with members of the student birdwatching club of the Natural Sciences Department, which he leads.
