Elizaveta Maltseva, Baitursynuly University student, and her supervisor, Professor Gulnar Sultangazina from the Department of Biology, Ecology, and Chemistry, prepared a project promising to save rare types of plants from extinction.
Their research ranked third at the annual National Scientific Research Competition.
The project focused on studying the flora of Kamennoye Lake, one of Kazakhstan’s state-protected botanical landmarks.
The "Biology" educational program student alongside her professor identified the current species composition of vascular plants and described endangered species listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book.
Their findings will help develop scientifically based conservation measures for Kostanay region's flora.
Congratulations to Elizaveta and Gulnar Zhalelovna on their well-earned achievement! We wish you further scientific success!
