Developed at KRU

Students from Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University showcased innovative AI projects at the international AI & Digital Bridge 2026 forum.

The Baitursynuly University team brought its own innovative solutions to the forum, which is taking place at Astana IT University.

The event features the specialised AI Sana exhibition, bringing together promising projects in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

KRU students presented their work at the exhibition, demonstrating practical applications of modern technologies in education, culture and the agricultural sector.

Five KRU student projects were presented to experts and forum participants:

AI Mektep — an intelligent educational platform that uses artificial intelligence to improve and automate teaching and learning. The project aims to introduce modern digital tools into the education system.

Tutor KSU — a personal intelligent tutor for university students. The system uses artificial intelligence to guide students through their studies, provide relevant information and offer personalised support.

National Sports VR — a virtual reality project that introduces users to traditional Kazakh sports in an interactive digital environment. It combines modern VR technology with efforts to promote and preserve national cultural heritage.

“Әліппе” (Alphabet Primer) AR Textbook — an interactive teaching resource that uses augmented reality. AR enhances traditional textbook materials with digital content, making learning more visual and interactive.

Plant Disease Detection System — a solution using computer vision and artificial intelligence to automatically identify crop diseases. The project has potential applications in precision agriculture and the digitalisation of the agricultural sector.

Participation in AI & Digital Bridge 2026 gave KRU students an opportunity to present their university projects to the professional community, exchange experience with IT industry representatives and demonstrate the practical potential of their work.

Such initiatives encourage student projects and research while developing skills in artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, computer vision and other promising digital technologies.

Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev also expressed his support for the KRU team.

Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University continues to create opportunities for students to develop technological initiatives and integrate their solutions into Kazakhstan’s modern digital ecosystem.
