Today, the Department of Journalism and Communication Management of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, together with the Department of Philosophy and History of Kazakhstan, organized a republican conference dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of Al-Farabi and the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev on the topic "Spiritual continuity of the work of Al-Farabi and Abai".
The main purpose of the conference is to exchange new information about the life and work of the two scientists, as well as to summarize the results of annual events dedicated to the historical significance of the great figures of our people.
The conference was opened by Gulshat Shaikamal, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Director of the Department of Science and Postgraduate Education of the A. Baitursynov KRU, and Alibek Tabuldenov, Director of the P. Chuzhinov Institute of Economics and Law, Candidate of Historical Sciences. They stressed the importance and necessity of today's conference and wished success to all participants.
The event was attended by scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L. Gumilyov ENU, E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University, as well as students of the specialties of history, philosophy and journalism of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov.
During the online conference, reports were made on the topics "Farabi's heritage and the Kazakh mentality of the 20th and early 21st centuries", "Al-Farabi and the harmony of Abai", "Abai's teachings: the life philosophy of the Kazakh people", "Abu Nasir al-Farabi and Akzhan al-Mashani: Spiritual continuity in the phenomenon of personality", "Abai's time in cinema" and "The problem of significance in the work of Al-Farabi".
The results of the conference were summed up by the head of the Department of Journalism and Communication Management, moderator Amangeldy Shurentayev, who thanked the scientists and guests who took part in today's event.
