About engineering education

An international scientific and practical conference of students and undergraduates on the topic "Current problems and prospects for the development of engineering education", dedicated to the Day of Science in Kazakhstan, was held at the Department of Electric Power Engineering of the A. Aitmukhambetov ITI.

All the works, and there were 20 of them, presented at the conference, touched upon the issues of modern engineering education, the problem and perspective of this topic. It is worth noting the level of reports presented by students and undergraduates. But still, the organizers singled out the best.

1st place for the 2nd year student of the specialty 6B08701 "Agricultural machinery and technology" Viktor Lyakhov. The 2nd place was shared by 1st-year master's student of OP "Electric Power Engineering" Konstantin Perevalov and 2nd-year student of the same specialty Serikzhan Batyrbekov. 3rd place deservedly went to 2nd year students of specialty 6B07102 "Electric Power Engineering" Serikzhan Mukubaev and Karen Babajanyan and 3rd year students Diana Kokkuzova and Kristina Molibozhenko. The winners and participants of the conference were awarded with diplomas, certificates, prizes and gifts.

In addition, poster presentations of the joint work of 3rd-year students of the specialty "Electric Power Engineering" of the A. Baitursynov KRU and students of the University of North Carolina (USA) on the study of world problems of sustainable development (curator of the project Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Svetlana Ibragimova) were presented at the conference. The coordinator of cooperation programs with US universities Maksat Koshkarbayev met with the students, who spoke about the prospects of cooperation and initiatives of the American Council in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
