About the science that heals humanity

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the KRU held a student scientific and practical conference "Contribution of young people to the development of veterinary science in Kazakhstan".

The event is dedicated to the memory of Dr. of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Valentin Piontkovsky.

He headed the Kostanay Research Veterinary Institute for more than 30 years, the author of unique scientific works, who trained hundreds of young specialists in veterinary medicine.

The conference was organized by the Department of Veterinary Medicine.

The event brought together teachers, students, master's students, doctoral students, as well as domestic and foreign experts. Almabek Nugmanov, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Kazakh National University of Agriculture, delivered a welcoming speech, saying:

– The memory of Professor Piontkovsky is still alive, and we will always cherish it. I would like to see future veterinarians confidently developing science, making a real contribution to the country's economy, and remaining worthy students of the professor.

The conference featured 30 presentations. A student who had studied in Germany was particularly interesting.

She spoke about unusual practices in milk processing, such as the production of creams and shampoos from mare's milk. Andrey Koval, Head of the Department of Science and Commercialization of the KRU, addressed the students:

- You are not just the successors of traditions. You are the future, the guardians of the veterinary welfare of our region, which Professor Piontkovsky has been defending all his life. Let his love for the profession and dedication to this land become your guiding star. And do not forget that veterinary medicine heals humanity

Admission committee
