Turan University recently announced the results of the Second Stage of the Republican Competition of Students’ Research Works (SRW) in the field of Journalism.
According to the competition results, Maria Polishchuk, a second-year student of the Journalism educational program at KRU, was awarded Third Place.
The research project submitted to the competition was entitled “The Evolution of Genres in Contemporary Television Journalism.”
In her study, the author examined current trends in the development of television journalism and analyzed the transformation of journalistic genres and formats under the influence of digital technologies, social media platforms, and changing audience media preferences.
Maria’s academic supervisor was Almatay Zhusupova, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor at KRU.
The high recognition of the research at the national level reflects the significance of the topic, the quality of the analysis, and the student’s dedicated scholarly work in exploring contemporary media processes.
