A student scientific and practical conference dedicated to the memory of Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Laureate of the State Scholarship of Outstanding Scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lidiya Yakovlevna Kurochkina was held at the A. Baitursynov KRU.
The theme of the conference: "Review of trends in research on the protection and use of biological resources, and on combating desertification".
The main participants of the event were students of the Departments of Biology, Ecology and Chemistry, agronomy, as well as undergraduates of the educational program "Biology".
The Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Digitalization of the KRU, Zhenis Zharlygasov, opened the meeting with a welcoming speech.
At the beginning of the conference, the participants honored the memory of the outstanding scientist, Doctor of Biological Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lidiya Yakovlevna Kurochkina.
It should be noted that Lydia Kurochkina has made an invaluable contribution to ecological and geobotanical research.
