A republican scientific seminar “History of the Jochi State,” dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the Jochi Ulus was held at Baitursynuly University.
"At the National Council, Kazakh President Kassym-JomartTokayev noted the significance of the Jochi Ulus and instructed to study thoroughly the history and heritage of the Golden Horde," Vice-Rector of the university, Zhenis Zharylgassov said. "The Jochi Ulus is a civilizational matrix. It represents a structured mechanism of an effective state, a comprehensive system that has created a cultural kaleidoscope."
The Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan ErkinAbil, the Head of the Research Institute for the Study of the Jochi Ulus Zhaksylyk Sabitov, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the university Alibek Tabuldenov, and the Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian disciplines Serikzhan Ismailov expressed their thoughts at our university's event.
It is worth noting that a separate volume dedicated to the Jochi Ulus will be included in the seven-volume history of Kazakhstan, which will be wtitten by the scientists from Baitursynuly University.
