Associate Professor of Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baytursynuly, Assiya Ansabayeva, and a first-year doctoral student of the educational program "Agronomy," Meruert Medelbek, are currently in China, where they are undergoing an internship at the invitation of Professor of Northwest A&F University (NWAFU, China), Mr. Weiseng.
Here, Kazakhstani scientists, together with NWAFU university scientists, will conduct a series of research projects in the field of agriculture, which will form the basis of the doctoral dissertation, while Chinese scientists will share their experience in improving potato cultivation technology, breeding, and methodology for breeding new varieties.
Recall that the cooperation agreement between KRU named after A. Baytursynuly and Northwest A&F University (NWAFU), (People's Republic of China, Yangling) was signed in September of last year.
Both universities almost immediately began implementing the agreement: a Roadmap was developed by the universities, reflecting all areas of cooperation, one of which is the supervision of doctoral students. In addition to this, a joint agrocenter is planned to be opened at the university, where research on the cultivation of new agricultural crops will be conducted on experimental fields.
