The most creative eco-projects are born here at Baitursynuly University!
Our students presented them at the “Let’s Protect Nature Together” competition that was organized by the Department of Ecology of the Kostanay Region, Baitusynuly University, “Green Center”, and the “Ecolife” club.
The students were judged by the Head of the Department of Ecology Talgat Sabiev, the head of one of the department’s branches Elena Evstafyeva, the chief ecologist of the Sokolovsko-Sarbayskoe Mining and Processing Production Association Anatoly Dvornichenko, and the ecologist of “Bayan Sulu” JSC Kayrzhan Baizhanov. The jury gave the students advice that will help implement their environmental ideas.
It wasn’t easy to choose the best ones. After long discussions, the 1st place was taken by Riza Saktaganova, who can turn waste paper into flower pots and postcards. The second place was taken by Zhuldyzym Khamitova with her “Cyclobox” project (a collection point for obsolete items for recycling). The third place was taken by the eco-tandem of Olga Vorobyova and Vitaliy Tabunkin, who developed a project for an ornithological site.
All students received valuable gifts from the sponsors - the Sokolovsko-Sarbayskoe Mining and Processing Production Association and “Bayan Sulu” JSC. Congratulations!
