Round table within the framework of the Day of Science

The Department of Theory of State and Law of the Institute of Economics and Law named after P. Chuzhinov, within the framework of the events timed to coincide with the Day of Science, held a round table on the topic: "Topical issues of constitutional reform in the light of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "New Kazakhstan: The Path of Renewal and Modernization", which was attended by representatives of the teaching staff of the KRU named after A. Baitursynov, the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev, the Faculty of Law of Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov,  Chelyabinsk State University, as well as students of the 2nd and 3rd courses of the specialty "Jurisprudence" and "International Law".

The round table was moderated by Symbat Ukin, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) of the Department of Theory of State and Law.

The head of the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Police Colonel Nurlan Biekenov made a welcoming speech.

Candidate of Law, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty of Law of E.A. Buketov KarSU Maira Kakimova spoke about the importance of constitutional reforms set out in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the need to form legal awareness and legal culture, including among law enforcement officers.

Zhanat Atzhanova, Candidate of Law, Professor of the Department of Law of the Kazan Branch of Chelyabinsk State University, took an active part in the discussion of constitutional reforms, who also touched upon important issues of improving the institution of constitutional control, in particular, it was about the transformation of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan into the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the round table, students of the A. Baitursynov KRU spoke:

• Anara Akhmetchina, a 3rd year student majoring in Jurisprudence, revealed topical issues of the development of the country's supreme representative body - the Parliament, as well as issues of reforming local representative bodies - maslikhats.
• Aruzhan Sarsenbayeva, a 3rd year student of the specialty "International Law", drew attention to the expansion of the jurisdiction of cases to the court with the participation of jurors, noted both positive and negative aspects.
• Zhibek Turabayeva, a 3rd year student majoring in Jurisprudence, noted the role of political parties, as well as the liberalization of legislation on the formation of political parties.
• Laura Userbai, a 3rd year student of the specialty "International Law", touched upon the legal status of the Commissioner for Human Rights, the consolidation of the legal status through the constitutional law, as well as a number of other issues.

All speeches were highly appreciated by the guests of the round table.
