The event took place at School No. 19 in Kostanay and, in keeping with tradition, was dedicated to the memory of educator and former school principal Sergey Mayatsky.
The conference has been held since 2015. This year, its format was expanded to include students and teachers from other schools, as well as faculty members from KRU.
The core idea of the event was that science comes alive where school projects meet teachers’ experience and the guidance of university faculty. School students confidently presented their research projects, teachers shared proven methodologies, and university lecturers helped refine and enhance the ideas.
KRU was represented by faculty members of the Institute of Pedagogy, including departments of pedagogy, philology, history, and natural sciences.
Particular attention was drawn to a section dedicated to the “Adal Azamat” educational program. The jury for this section included Aybek Shalgimbekov, Professor at KRU.
“Teachers shared their best practices, discussed challenges, and, together with university colleagues, found new approaches,” the professor noted. “The creative assignments based on Abai’s Words of Edification were especially impressive: each student conveyed their ideas through drawings. History, culture, and profession all in one — this is what makes learning truly engaging.”
