The 1st stage of the republican contest of student works on natural, technical, socio-humanitarian and economic sciences in higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is held annually by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of higher educational institutions, was held at the Aitmukhambetov Institute of Engineering and Technology.
The main goals and objectives of the competition are to stimulate research activities, selection and support of the most talented and gifted students.
The competition is held in 3 stages: intra–university, in basic universities and the final - republican.
The meeting of the competition commission was moderated by Svetlana Ibragimova, Deputy Director for Science, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Power Engineering. The composition of the competition commission included scientists - teachers of departments whose students participate in the competition of student papers.
After listening to the submitted works, the competition commission recommended the following projects for participation in the II stage of the republican R&D competition:

"Development of a mobile application using Google Firebase Cloud Technology", student 2nd year 6b06103-information technologies and robotics Kairolla G. K.. (head-Satmaganbetova zh. Z.);
"Development of a laboratory-practical installation "Study of braking circuits of an asynchronous motor with a short-circuited rotor and a DC motor with parallel excitation"", 1st year master's student of the specialty 7M07102-Electric Power Engineering Teteryuk I.V. (head - Associate Professor of the Department of Electric Power Engineering, Candidate of Economic Sciences Glushchenko T.I.);
"Universal testing and examination tool based on enterprises of any type", 3rd year student of specialty 6B070300-Information systems Kim V.V.. (supervisor: senior lecturer of the Department of Information Systems Begalin A.Sh.).
