We are now introducing the winning research projects of Baitursynuly University under the Young Scientists competition! Today's Feature: "Domestic and foreign poultry meat production microbiological safety, determination of resistance profiles."
Author: Yulia Aleshina, research scientist of the Laboratory of Clinical-Diagnostic, Microbiological Research, and Biological Material Safety, Research Institute of AB.
Project focus:
The study assesses the safety of poultry meat sold in Kostanay region stores.
Research Methods:
Examining microbial contamination in poultry products from domestic and imported sources. Determining antibiotic resistance in identified microorganisms. Identifying resistance genes responsible for bacterial survival.
Why is this important?
Food safety is essential for public health. The project will compare contamination levels in domestic and imported poultry meat and evaluate both phenotypic and genotypic resistance of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms.
