The republican contest of scientific research works of students in the direction of "Journalism" was held at the North Kazakhstan University named after Manash Kozybayev. By the decision of the competition commission, a 3rd-year student of the educational program "Journalism" of the A. Baitursynov KRU Karakuz Makatova was awarded a diploma of the III degree of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Together with her supervisor, Master of Humanities Aisulu Mukhanbetzhanova, she presented a project on the topic "The role of the media in increasing religious literacy of society".
In this paper, Karakuz conducted a review of the mass media of our country and analyzed the coverage of religious topics.
