The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds an annual national competition for student research work in specific fields of study. For the "History" category, the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Hodja Ahmet Yassawi was the institution in 2023. A total of 37 student works from 14 Kazakhstani universities were submitted to the competition.
Students of the "History" (6В02201) course at A. Baitursynov KRU, Anel Pimicheva (3rd year) and Saғynғali Gүlderaу (2nd year) represented the university at the competition. Supervisors from the university's Social Humanities Department, Gulmira Nurusheva and senior instructor Ruslan Zhusupov, oversaw the projects.
