Dr. Emin Atasoy, a PhD from Uludag University (Bursa, Turkey), arrived at A. Baitursynuly KRU as part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan program to attract foreign scholars to the teaching activities of Kazakh universities.
From September 11 to October 8, 2023, he will deliver a series of lectures on disciplines such as "Geography" and "Biology," provide consultations on diploma and master's theses in the "Geography" program, and assist in the preparation of scientific publications. During this period, a training seminar with employers on "Modern Geographic Research" is planned. The schedule of the scholar's stay is quite intense, including meetings with faculty members, a roundtable, and consultations.
Professor Emin Atasoy has more than 250 scientific publications, including over 50 articles in international journals with a high impact factor (Scopus and Web of Science). Collaborating with 7 doctoral students from Kazakhstan, he wrote more than 35 articles included in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The collaboration aims to develop scientific, academic, and methodological ties between universities.
