From May 11 to 20, 2022, three teachers from the Department of Biology, Ecology and Chemistry, Yunusova G.B., Dryuk O.V. and Chekhova T.I., completed an internship at the German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture (Witzenhausen) on module 4 of the SAGRIS project “Improving postgraduate education in the field of sustainable agriculture and future agrosystems”.
During the internship, lectures were attended on transdisciplinary research, involving stakeholders in projects, participatory and qualitative methods of transdisciplinary research, etc. In an active form, groups learned to define the tree of problems of transdisciplinary research, stakeholders, actors, what their knowledge can be used, etc.
Three dairy farms (1200, 300 and 9 cows), a tropical greenhouse were visited. We got acquainted with a project on using sheep to preserve biodiversity. The internship was very productive, we received a lot of knowledge and new skills.
Module 4 will end with a block seminar in Uralsk at the West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan (June 27 - July 1, 2022), where the acquired knowledge will be presented to doctoral students from 4 universities (KRU, KATU, ZKATU, KazNAIU) of Kazakhstan.
