As part of the Month of Methodological Innovations, faculty members, students, and employers engaged in an open roundtable discussion.
The purpose of the event was to address current issues related to the employment of veterinary graduates, identify the most in-demand professional competencies, and strengthen cooperation between the university and regional employers.
Active participants in the discussion included representatives of government authorities and the private veterinary sector of the Kostanay region:
Zhanyl Rakhimova, Chief Specialist of the Kostanay Regional Territorial Inspectorate of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Aigul Nurlumbayeva, Head of the Administrative Department of the Veterinary Administration of Kostanay Region
Olga Porosyan, Head of the Sample Reception Department of the Kostanay Regional Branch of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory
Alexander Utyatnikov, Director of the “Aibolit” Veterinary Clinic
Maxim Paderin, Head of the “Dogma” Veterinary Clinic Network
During the meeting, participants discussed employers’ expectations of graduates, issues of professional adaptation for young specialists, and prospects for further cooperation. Particular attention was given to students’ practical training and the development of skills essential for a successful start to their professional careers.
The roundtable proved to be an effective platform for constructive dialogue. Senior students had the opportunity to ask questions, establish professional contacts, and explore future employment prospects.
