The forum "Enhancing Financial Literacy and Sha ping a Positive Image of Financial Monitoring Authorities Among the Population" was held at Baitursynuly University.
The event was dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"As you know, low financial literacy among the population leads to people becoming victims of fraudulent schemes and financial pyramids," Askar Abenov said, The Head of the Department of Economic Investigations for the Kostanay region. "That is why promoting legal and informational culture in society is one of our priorities. Today, we have gathered students from leading universities in the region in KRU. You can share the knowledge gained here with your family, friends, and other important people in your life."
During the forum, investigators and experts conducted seminars-trainings on countering gambling, dropper schemes, the spread of synthetic drugs and vapes, as well as financial pyramids and other fraudulent organizations.
The students demonstrated their newly acquired knowledge in an intellectual competition, where teams answered questions on financial literacy.
