The Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the A. Baitursynov KRU held a round table on “Modern technologies and formats for preventing self-destructive behavior among minors,” which is part of a series of zonal events planned by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the “Year of the Child” and aimed at increasing the effectiveness of psychological and pedagogical support for students.
The event, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by educational psychologists from schools in the region, master's students of the educational program 7M01101-Pedagogy and Psychology, teachers and invited experts.
During the round table, the most pressing issues of preventing destructive behavior among minors were discussed.
The speakers touched upon the issues of diagnostics and psychocorrection of destructive behavior, disclosed the results of generalization of the experience of educational psychologists in supporting students in crisis situations, and presented an author's program for preventing intrapersonal conflicts in adolescents. Their speeches were original, information-rich, and well-illustrated.
The department expresses special gratitude for holding the round table to the experts: head of the psychological service of the Kostanay regional mental health center Galina Islyamova, head of the department branch and the psychological center "Empathy" Gaukhar Moldakhmetova.
